Please explain why getting vaccinated is more "selfish" than not getting vaccinated. The latter decision seems more selfish, as the unvaccinated are far more likely to come down with serious illness, directly becoming a threat to transmit disease to one's close contacts, not to mention the burden one places on their immediate family with hospitalization, lost income, and COVID sequelae up to and including one's demise.

I guess it's possible that I'm missing the point, but if the assertion is that a staff member of a hospital was the source of a covid infection of a particular patient, it wouldn't be possible to isolate the identities of the staff members who came into contact with the patient, and then determine which of those staff members were vaccinated and which weren't, or perhaps even more straightforward, which of those staff members may have subsequently been diagnosed with covid, no matter the variant?

I’m sure they could determine this. But how could they determine which member spread it?

I guess it wouldn't be possible to make that determination to a 100% certain degree, but if the list were compiled and found to be 10 staff who had direct contact with patient, and 9 of them were vaccinated prior to coming into contact but 1 wasn't, at least the door would be open to the possibility that the 1 staff member was the source. But even in that case I don't think it's feasible to conclude that it was definitely a staff member who infected the patient. Thus the assertion that a staff member was the source may not be accurate.

On the other hand, if that same 1 staff member was diagnosed with covid at or near the time of the patient being diagnosed, then there could be a stronger conclusion that the staff member was indeed the source.

All this to say the assertion that an unvaccinated staff member was the source may just amount to mere speculation. Again, I could be missing the overall point, so there is that.

Anyone who gets the vaccine should be reported to the proper authorities. It’s time to end this absolute madness.

So working in a hospital and getting vaccinated to prevent possible spread to patients is selfish?

You do know vaccinated people are spreading this right? Your point is terrible. Even your liberal press is showing the vaccinated are getting it /spreading it. Get your new talking points straight. You just might not die if you have it…….. just like everyone else

Funny when we call a disease with 99 percent mortality rate the deadliest in history

True, the vaccinated should be locked up so that they cannot unknowingly be super spreaders. For the good of the country.

Considering the fact that it's as contagious as chickenpox, it's without question the deadliest disease known to mankind.

Now untreated rabies has 100% mortality, but the transmission of that disease isn't nearly as efficient.

I suppose that's true if you've never heard of Marburg, ebola, smallpox, influenza, dengue, rotavirus, bubonic plague, tuberculosis, typhus, cholera, malaria, heart disease, cancer, hiv, or 3 dozen other diseases depending on how you want to define 'deadliest.'

Every white person who gets the vaccine is denying a person of color the vaccine, so it's racist as well.

Am I doing this right?

Tell that to our patient that got Covid in the hospital from an unvaccinated staff member.
