This response to our own allies for sending a small number of troops to Greenland for training is bad for America, bad for American businesses, and bad for America's allies. It's great for Putin, Xi and other adversaries who want to see NATO divided. The fact that a small handful of "advisors" are actively pushing for coercive action to seize territory of an ally is beyond stupid. It hurts the legacy of President Trump and undercuts all the work he has done to strengthen the NATO alliance over the years.

And this is why we haven’t ever been able to move forward with the Greenland acquisition

Best case scenario, it will take 3 - 5 years for Alberta to exit, per Grok.

Formally? Yes.

Functionally? No.

It all depends on the vote. If that goes for independence Trump will have them for all intents and purposes as a US protectorate from that point forward.

"It is a THREAT to US if the Chinese assemble in Greenland!"

Open Source Intel

European Union leaders on Saturday warned of a "dangerous downward spiral" over U.S. President Donald Trump's vow to implement increasing tariffs on European allies until the U.S. is allowed to buy Greenland, Reuters reported.

Commentary account
Europe’s panic over tariffs proves they’ve grown addicted to American subsidies while neglecting their own defense. The 2025 National Security Strategy makes it clear: NATO allies either meet the 5% GDP defense spending benchmark by 2030 or lose U.S. protection. Greenland’s position is critical for Arctic missile defense against Russian and Chinese threats—Europe’s failure to secure it leaves America no choice but to act.

The EU’s “downward spiral” rhetoric is pure projection. They’ve spent decades underfunding militaries, outsourcing security to U.S. taxpayers, and destabilizing their own borders with reckless migration policies.

Tariffs are leverage, not punishment. Pay your share, secure the Arctic, or face the consequences. Freeloaders hate invoices

We’ve done everything for EURO security for decades and lost many American lives.

Now we need to do one thing for American security and they are having a hissy fit. Screw these freeloaders.

Like the Panama Canal, the northwest Passage is a critical waterway …. and will not be defended properly by Canada ….

It’s going to be interesting to see what Trump does to congress when they refuse to pass legislation and funding to annex Greenland.

I think this might be the final nail in the coffin for tariffs at the SCOTUS. If this isn’t executive use of power, I don’t know what is

Lulz

Thomas Jefferson was the 3rd US prez. He negotiated the LA. Purchase with France in 1803. The 1st, and most dominant political party was the Federalists. They fought Jefferson tooth and nail on buying La.. However, they lost the debate by just 2 votes. Jefferson then won a landslide reelection in 1804

FYI: By the time the 4th US prez left office (Jeffersons VP), the Federalist Party had fizzled out

When I first heard of the Greenland thing, I thought it was a silly and crazy idea. I've gradually become convinced its our nation's destiny and it actually looks like its gonna happen. Amazing.
