The people who are being offered the money are 90% Inuit. Native populations are very hard to figure out and determining their priorities is pretty difficult. Might not be money for them.

This entire Greenland episode just seems like another Trump performance spectacle. We’ve had a treaty with Denmark regarding Greenland since 1951, and it’s served us well. We’ve done anything we want with Greenland concerning national security: Military bases, troop deployments, early warning ICBM installations, etc. plus, because of NATO, any aggression by Russia or China automatically brings in the U.S.
