The Billionaires argument is simply a mud sling to keep groups fighting against one another.

Much more so than the left however the core of both side have brain rot.
The more the left gone left the more the right marched off into right oblivion.
Neither side (mostly at the core levels) believe in working together on anything or for anything. They both subscribe to the my way or the highway form of government.

No, that usually means people just take the path of least resistance. They were against gay marriage until it became popular enough, then they "evolved". Masks are OK when everybody is wearing them, now they make fun of them. It's an endless list.
Someone who thinks for themselves is inevitably going to wind up with some views at the skinny end of the bell curve, but self described "moderates" are almost always mysteriously in the middle.

There are those types as well for sure...but most so called moderates or centrist I speak with see nuance discussion to be had on a lot topics that those on the left and right see as black and white. As for the OP when he says "would say my views tend to the left or the right depending on what the issue is." he seems to just be saying he holds views that traditionally are held by both the left and the right. ...... like myself ...generally being pro choice and pro gun. I dont think that means he doesnt stand for anything anything.

Since 2001, the left has refused to compromise on anything and has designated anyone who disagrees with them as a threat to democracy and the second coming of Hitler.
To them, "working together" means "give us everything we want or else".
