I wonder if it has anything to do with 17 being legal (down to 16 in many states) in the majority of states. I think like only 10 states it's 18+, including FL. What would he have had to do to make it a federal case, and not just the responsibility of the State to go after him or not?
I don't like many Federal charges in general, and think the lines have gotten to blurred on what the feds can do and can't. Ie...why the feds are able to go after a murder case that was only within one state??

Correct. She was given a real one by the other guy that went to jail, as official DLs was apart of his actual job.
I can see why FL didn't go after him because of that. Just wonder if the FEDs , who hate him, would care as much about that unless they really felt a fake ID, legit or not, was that big of a hurdle on its own an just not enough other stuff to get over it. The girls credibility piece must really hurt the girls with their history of stuff they might have done outside of MG, and others involved having jail time.
If the FEDs couldn't do anything this really only proves how pity of a hit job from Congress. And hope it bites them in the butt. As if he doesn't know of things as a former insider.

Why?
Because I think it is both.
I think he was doing all that was alleged, that made him an easy target for the honeypot scheme, he walked right into it and then contacted FBI as cover because he was doing it before the honeypot scheme was even hatched.
Every aspect is true, somewhat... but the ORDER in which it happens is what is important.
The Gaetz camp is only talking about the latter half (once he sought cover) and the Ethics Cmte.. is only talking about the former half (because it suits their political needs). Neither is telling the whole story or the whole truth.
Meanwhile- Garland is laughing his arse off because they got to destroy a MAGA republican by not giving the ethics committee the latter half of the story where Gaetz was working with them to bust the extortion/honeypot scheme.

Gaetz is innocent. History will not look back kindly on those who tried to demonize him.
