This is ridiculous. It's just to show that everything in the justice system is equal. It's not equal. It never will be now. Those days are long gone

Disagree here. Judge's usually go pretty lenient on someone who has gone to rehab, is seemingly doing better than he was, and doesn't have a violent past. If the gun was used for a violent crime, that would be different.
