If the Biden Administration does vaccine mandates for interstate travel, that’s it. Both sides will completely snap and it’s war. Such unity as he promised. All hail the Great Uniter!

The land that we call America has always had freedom-loving people living here. This land that we call America will always be here.
That nation-state entity known as the USA? It is being transformed before your very eyes. You are witnessing one of the most astounding events in human history - the decline and fall of a great Western nation.
In 1940, France was transformed, but, they DID fight it. The USA? Not fighting for its own survival.
Which one is the "Surrender Monkey" now?

I want states to secede and form new constitutional Republics. Like minded people banding together is our only hope.
Merely ten years ago, the Secessionists on this board were seen as crazy loons. Now? Not so much.

If you want to see the future take a look at the past.
Would be comfortable, even convenient, but eventually disastrous to just forget what went on before us at Weimar with its factional strife, chaos, and increasing inflation.
It provided the model for what to avoid if at all possible to hold on to one's country.
Much of it fomented and taken advantage of by types who admitted openly they sought to produce a populace so abject, desperate, cynical, and hopeless that they could ever solve their problems that they would accept as welcome relief their new, authoritarian rulers.
Weimar had implications that went far beyond the blood and iron aspects it caused the world, but particularly its long range effect on the West "from within."
As Santayana continues to be validated.

lol no. Why would Democrats allow you to split off? Sorry. request denied. Pussies.
The best Secession scenario that would have any chance of success is quite for into the future, IMHO.
It would have to be a future scenario in which the USA and its military was weak enough to be unable to challenge China and its military. The "Secession Scenario" would have to involve China's foreign intervention to protect the newly seceded nation immediately.
In fact, China's military intervention to protect the New Nation would have to be as immediate as having a powerful naval fleet ready to sail into a seceded port immediately in order to begin establishment of a military base there in the newly seceded nation's port city.
The USA would have the choice of either peacefully allowing the secession OR going to war with China.
As it stands now, China is DECADES away from challenging the USA in the manner called for by this scenario.
This is the best-chance scenario for secession that I can think of. It's feasibility is so far off into the future that I don't think anybody alive today would live long enough to see it - it would take that long for China to get that strong and for the USA to get that weak.

1) Illegal immigrants are overrunning us.
Legit problem in terms of demographic change, but America is huge. I never see Latinos where I am for instance, so this being a sign of impending collapse as opposed to a slow decline is overrated.
quote:
2) Our debt is something like, what, $27 trillion? This isn't sustainable. Indeed, we are past the point of no return already.
Another big problem except that China is the country who could most take advantage of this and they have tied their own economy to our’s and probably won’t destroy their own economy to get us, so again not an sign of immense tax collapse so much as a sign that our government has gambled our futures recklessly which is bad enough.
quote:
3) Crime is out of control and our governors, mayors and DA's (in most areas) are not only not trying to stop it, but are actively encouraging more.
Crime is on the rise but lower than it was in the 80s and 90s and we survived that.
quote:
4) Our military is a joke now with its wokeism. Most of out troops are fat, out of shape and weak. Too many transgender fighter pilots and ship captains. China and Russia are belly laughing at us.
This is just retarded. Do you know any infantry guys or are you basing this on shite you hear from people who have been retired for 30 years?
5. Our prison population has been higher than everyone else for 80 years. This is a problem but again it’s not new.
6. Every state’s election is like within 45% to 55% one way or the other and large numbers of people don’t vote at all. The parties and core believers are more divided than ever, but if you step off the internet your average person either doesn’t care that much or have beliefs that are contradictory and all over the place. You know, like it’s always been. The internet has destroyed the discourse

When this country was founded, brave patriots marched shoulder to shoulder across open fields while facing a barrage of artillery and musket fire. Each brave soul knew that every battle could be his last, yet he fought on with the hope of being free or making sure that future generations of Americans would live in freedom. There is very little patriotism of that sort or self-sacrifice in this country today. If the citizens of this country are unwilling to fight, America will not last much longer.

The chances of what you’re saying happening are so very slim it’s not even funny. All 45 of the upvotes you got are delusional.
What makes you think that you will be able to have your desired system of government?
There will be a split. And it will be amicable. It, the split, will actually be a solution to a problem.
There will be debt crisis soon. This country will be on forced austerity within five to ten years. This will add on to the already huge division in this country. The Dems will want to raise taxes and use the crisis to basically take over. The Repubs will want to do the opposite. The solution will be to break the country apart. I can see it happening and the chances are much greater then you think.

For some reason our population is crazy and violent. There's some unexplained social dynamics at play here that I don't even want to begin to dissect
It’s not unexplained. Black people have allowed traditional family dynamics to be destroyed with generations of kids raised without fathers on perpetual welfare. Rinse, repeat.
Sorry if that’s offensive.

That's the best-chance scenario? The newly seceded nation being a colony of China? That sounds horribly bleak

I don't really think it has. The big difference is with technology the world now knows everything all the time.
Throughout modern human history there has always been major wars, depressions, droughts, drafts, segregation, genocide, slavery, and many more terrible acts.
Might there come a time where we really have to be willing to fight for what we as Americans stand for yes, but I don't see it happening anytime soon.

Yep, there have always been crazies out there. We just didn’t use to encounter them in our beds scrolling on our phones. A legit problem is that so much of the Medi on both sides is on Twitter and considers that trash to representatively reflect the views of people out in the world.

That reason is due to the institutionalized erosion of the family unit by our governments through decades of various entitlement programs and no accountability..

That is my opinion of the best chance scenario, yes. It is indeed a "pick your poison" scenario.
HOWEVER, what about a different scenario? What if, instead of Secession, some sort of Provincial Semi-Autonomy can be achieved? Sort of like how Quebec is part of Canada? Something like that? That might be better than the "Pure Secession" scenario, what do you think?

You're really probably right. An amicable split is a pipe dream, that just isn't realistic. In that case, being the favored side of China is actually probably the best scenario. Damn, that is depressing
