The nation, as founded, has been gone for over a century. We're just now waking up to see what all those little changes to the Constitution, such as having US senators elected by popular vote rather than appointed by state legislatures, and the creation of the income tax on individuals, have done. Not to mention our constant involvement in wars since the end of WWII where we have no business.

I asked him about it and he said down at his level they haven’t heard much of anything about diversity. They did have a one time session on “extremism”, but he said it was very non judgmental of any viewpoint and really not a big thing. He said the core question was would you follow orders you didn’t agree with. The resounding response was “it depends on the order. He said no one he knows in the marines would ever support suppression of the American population or door to door gun takeaways. My other SIL, in the army, said the same thing…that they haven’t seen much of it.
Just a side note: He started in the marines as a mortarman and eventually became an instructor at the school of infantry teaching hand to hand combat. Now he’s transitioned to doing whatever they have gunny’s doing. He still occasionally teaches mortar theory to the incoming staff Sargents.
He’s about 6’5” and not the guy you want to get into a fight with. I have gone with him to observe him at work a couple of times, he is 100% no nonsense there, but at home with the wife and kids he is the most kind and gentle guy. Great father.

The US has become a shark infested feeding frenzy for fat kleptocrats and oligarchs who are gaming the system from the relative safety of their private island compounds. From the ever increasing valuations for worthless business enterprises (pretty much anything Elon Musk sponsors) to the Ponzi-scheme like expansion of private equity, a relative few are benefiting bigly.
And who are the ones underwriting this drunken orgy? It's white middle America, they are the one's forced to pay taxes, to submit to a woke CRT culture, to send their kids to dysfunctional public schools and to encourage their children to become trannys. All while rich elites project scorn and contempt for the Bubba class.
This won't end without a complete overthrow of our current political and economic structures. And I'm afraid this won't be accomplished without a profound amount of bloodshed.
