I believe the comment was about he and his spouse hitching a ride on a C17, not the photo of the office pod.
I'm no "MAGAtard", but will say that having a government official hitch a ride on a planned flight rather than flying private is a good thing and sends an important message about responsible governance.
As for the optics, it gives the impression to the rank and file that he is one of them, that he isn't above flying in cargo...even if they give him a fancy office pod gizmo.

Depends. Was it a Space A flight or regularly scheduled flight or did he task a C-17 separately? There are differences amongst those.
If he tasked a C-17 and him and his family are the only ones flying it’s more expensive than taking a G-650.
