In 2005, Strong was caught having been illicitly paid $1 million from the UN’s Oil for Food programme, supposedly set up to allow Saddam Hussein to pay in oil to feed starving Iraqis. He retired to a flat in Beijing, where he had been close to China’s Communist leaders back to Mao.
To this day, global climate policy is still shaped by Strong’s Agenda 21, as was highlighted last February when Christiana Figueres, the Costa Rican Marxist now head of the UNFCCC and organiser of the Paris conference, urged that the West should give “$1 trillion a year” to the “developing” world.
It's amazing how all these rich people promote wealth distribution after they are rich and continue to remain rich while telling others they need to pay up. The climate change narrative was created to redistribute wealth and establish even more control over people.
Agenda 21 promotes urban development over rural development, forcing people into "Human Resettlement Zones." It promotes communal transportation and non-motorized transportation which will make it difficult for people to leave these zones. It supports an end to sovereign nations and private property. It is a push for control disguised by environmentalism. The rich will keep their wealth while the middle class becomes part of the lower class.

Nobody thinks climate change is a hoax except fringe right idiots. Man made climate change is a hoax, humans give themselves wayyyyy to much credit. What we need to be focused on is cleaning the plastic pollution out of water ways and the ocean.

I always ask advocates one question = "How can we recover from an ice age unless the earth warms?"
IF we could actually stop the natural warming cycle - we would plunge back into the grips of another ice age.
Does human activity make it warmer?? == Well yes - just like when you piss off the deck of an aircraft carrier => you increase the depth of the ocean because of the added volume and the aircraft carrier floats a little higher because of jettisoned weight.

Earth and climate have changed forever and will continue to do so.
The climate change “hoax” component of all of this is just a thinly veiled wealth redistribution scam by the left. Ironically, it is the left that pretends to be the party of individual freedom, but in reality is the one that wants to restrict freedoms and liberties through gun seizures, climate change restrictions, living green, etc.

Climate like almost all natural systems is cyclical.
Climate always is in flux.
Nothing man can do will change this.
Before Homo sapiens the whole world was covered in ice perhaps twice, and was completely ice free.
Before the industrial revolution hot and cold climate alternated dozens of times.
All this is scientific fact.
Man made global warming is a scientific theory and its “proof” only exists in computer models that have failed to predict past climates and future climates since the 1970s.
The anti Capitalist coalition of communist and radical environmentalists advocate ETREME societal changes that push their philosophical agendas as “cures” for a problem that only exists in failed computer programs.
This anti capitalism coalition controls academia and government and funds the “consensus” of scientific research. Scientists only get paid, eat, buy cars, take their kids to Disney, etc. if they get funded by the anti capitalism coalition with the public’s money.

On Earth Day in 1970, Walter Cronkite on the CBS Evening News told us that planet earth would be uninhabitable by 1980 unless we took immediate and extensive action to reduce pollution. Later in the 70's, the crisis du jour was the "coming Ice Age" with a glacier predicted to go right through midtown Manhattan and most of the population freezing to death. When scientists wearing lab coats hold press conferences to announce these things, they can't be wrong.

Climate change isn't a hoax, the only part that is debateable is how much of an impact humans have on it. I'm in the camp that thinks we are probably negligible in the big picture but why not try to take care of the planet we are living on?

Here's where I've landed over the decades this has been a topic;
1. Climate is changing, duh, geologically it always has and always will
2. Global warming, probably/likely happening (things seem different in my lifetime), but you have to define over what time scale you're talking about and what are considered the norms. Otherwise it's just part of the normal cycle that's consistent with the past history of the earth (Plimer).
3. Man's contributions to global warming. Probably happening but hard to quantify. The Greenhouse effect is (I think) a proven phenomenon but the data is in the hands of folks with an agenda (fame, relevancy, govt. grants) so the true impact is hard to know.
4. Solutions proposed by activists. This is where the wheels fall off. The Draconian economic impact of the proposed AOC-type solutions will do more harm to humans than any actual change in the climate (apparently activists don't care if the African continent continues to make its way out of poverty - see Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings and the impact of banning DDT). Bjorn Lomborg has it right in that globally, climate change is not a top-tier problem.
5. So to finally get to your question. The folks that use GW/CC as a club to the head of society have proposed wild, untethered solutions to a problem that may or may not be significant. There are probably solutions that make sense but activists/progressives don't want to hear about that. Why? Because they deeply want to prove they're right (and smarter than you), accrue and maintain power (and wealth) and use that power to control the behavior of others and enact the social change they've historically tried to enact via The New Deal, The Great Society, Socialism, PC, Cancel Culture, media control etc. Climate change is just another tool, it's all about the power and control.

It's not a hoax, but a naturally occurring phenomenon that has been happening for several billion years. However, Al Gore is the one who seems to have profited the most from exploiting climate change, so I'll lay the blame on him.

2) Academicians were scrounging around for funds, and hit on the fact that there were millions to be made in an area where they don't have to prove their findings for decades
3) However, once competition began for those grants, they also quickly hit upon the fact that the more dire the prediction, the more likely they were to be funded. And at greatly increased funding levels
4) Then some addle brained DC staffers stumbled upon these dire grant requests and reported them to their overlords. The dumbest among them (see Algore, D avg in science courses) seized upon the 'crisis', and successfully turned it into an industry
So technically its not a hoax, because climate does change. Its more like a pyramid scheme. Where a certain few make bling, by selling something to a massive naïve audience with no verifiable data as to the reliability of their claims
