I listen to my black students call each other monkeys all the time. It doesn’t mean it should happen, but they do it.

I disagree . Actually it’s extremely important in a Cultural sense - what are the parameters of Free Expression in 2018. What venues/ platforms can you say such things ? How are different groups treated - is it ok to put one group on blast and not another ? These are the kind of things that define life in our country. Along with 1000 other things. You may not care, I may not care, but they are actually quite important in what they say about us. Now imma eat this sammich. Which is more important to me.
