Maybe it is wishful thinking, but I can’t bring myself to believe that it could have been intentional. Too many people would have had to have been involved in the plot.

"Wishful thinking" is to be nice about it. When considering this question, intentional or incompetence, you have to consider everything we've watched the corrupt deep state attempt to "get Trump" the last 8 years......
All of their efforts have failed. All of them.
So what's the next step?
We've all just viewed it live 2 days ago.
They won't stop. More is coming.

I’ll always lean absolute fricking incompetence as the first possibility with any government employee.

I’m 90/10 right now.

Incompetence. There isn't a single thing fedgov does well and efficiently, and with DEI and a hardon for Trump that ineptitude is now on steroids.

Trump needs to drain the swamp this time and as much as I wish that assassination attempt hadn't happened, the silver lining is it may piss DT off to the point we get the bull in a China closet we're hoping for.

The sheer number of things that had to align perfectly for that kid to get through security and into place without raising enough concern until too late.

I have to go with utter incompetence.

It's hard to imagine that anyone with half a brain would not have realized that an unsecured rooftop 130 yards away was a potentially serious threat.

Their incompetence is only matched by by their intense hate of Trump and their intent to kill him.

100% intentional. I still don't understand how anyone can underestimate this administration's evil. The shooter was seen 30 min before he opened fire. wtf

I think someone at some level intentionally took advantage of sheer incompetence. So intentional at a high level, incompetence as it made its way down. I also think there were well-intentioned people who have it drilled into them to follow/wait for orders who were taken advantage of.

Intentional. You cannot be in that role and be that incompetent. Especially when the reason it wasn’t covered is an obvious lie.

Now it’s been released they found a receipt in the shooters pocket from Home Depot for a ladder. The speculation is the ladder at the building is the one he bought.

So to review, the building he shot from was used as a staging area for police tactical units. The counter sniper team that was SUPPOSED to be on the roof was chilling inside the building.

He was seen multiple times, had his picture taken twice, and escaped capture.

He somehow managed to not only hide a rifle, but also a 20’ extension ladder outside of a building the police were occupying.

People were videoing him climbing up and belly crawling with a rifle, were yelling, pointing, and telling police he was on the roof. The same roof the SS Head said was too inclined for sniper teams to use. The roof that had less of an incline than roofs the other teams were posted on.

Police climbed his ladder, saw him, and ran when he pointed the rifle at them. He then turned, fired five shots per the USSS, and hit four people. When you know his adrenaline was flowing and he was breathing faster. No buck fever.

He had bombs/IED’s in his car and his parents house. He was good enough with computers that he was building them in HS.

He was 20 years old, with reportedly no social media presence, and a phone that has reportedly yielded no info.

He was a ghost. Ladies and gentlemen, this 20 year old dweeb who was bullied in HS apparently is actually Jason Bourne.

It had to be intentional letting this happen

Intentional incompetence.

The higher ups put an understrength third string in there and hoped for the worst.

Intentional. Someone let that kid on the roof with a rifle and allowed him to get shots off. Wouldn't surprise me if they found this kid who was likely radicalized and steered him there. It is unbelievable with the amount of money and resources that they put into the Secret Service that even the worst team of Agents couldn't secure that area.

DEI incompetence raises the odds of security failure, but this looks worse.
