Nobody would be dead if all the "peaceful observers" did was stand to the side, away from ICE's work, and took video of what transpired.

An unarmed man was shot posing no threat. That's pretty fair.

Even the dead guy didnt know if he was armed any longer

He heard "gun", ICE released their grip on him to go for their own guns, he then reached to his holster and pulled out something. Way, wrong action by him in the moment

And his cell phone was in his left hand the entire time. As he rose up he turned that hand, and you can clearly see a black rectangle in the middle of his white glove. Aka a phones darkened touch screen

Do you think the agent that did (or started) the shooting knew it was an unarmed man he was firing at?

No, hence the "freaking out"

Would you prefer "fricked up to an insane degree"?

This wast a riot, there wasnt any violent action by Pretti. Was any attempt made to arrest him by giving verbal.commands for him stop, put his hands up, ask.him.if he was carrying ect..before he was hit with bear spray?

I personally like that one better.

No. He had a cell phone in his right hand, and there is a video that tries to claim that after he was shot in the head he somehow managed to drop his phone and grab a magazine from behind himself in 0.01 seconds.

Or, you know, the phone stayed in his right hand.

It's probably pretty easy typing that from your basement. I've never been in a position like that, but I don't think it's crazy to think it's pretty difficult - for everyone involved.

There's a difference between "inadequately trained/too much on edge" and "fricked up to an insane degree".

I think ICE fricked up on this one. I don't think their agents are trained to handle the hostilities they often confront from the "peaceful observers" and at least one of the overreacted in fear to the sound of a gunshot, right after he heard his fellow agents yell, "gun, gun, gun" - but they shouldn't have to fight the general public while they go about their business.

There is a lot of bad in the videos I saw. The original ICE agent that pushed the woman down had at least 3-4 opportunities to deescalate the situation, but he did not. That same agent was whacking the dude's head with the pepper spray can while the other agents were attempting to detain him.

The final staw was the 4-5 additional shots that they fired into him after he was just lying there.

don't think there's such thing as a "calm, methodical arrest" on an armed and actively resisting offender.

I'll ask.again....resisting what commands? After he was hit twice with peppers spray and tackled to rhe ground....was he able.to follow any commands.

still want to know why if Pretti was trying to 'rescue' her why did he drag her back into the fray not once but twice. He was trying to martyr her.

I.noticed that too and.I think he was fricked up by being blasted by the pepper spray and didnt know wtf was going on. A couple hits like that at point blank range will completely disorient anyone.

You sound like you're responding to me calling him a murderer and not the words I actually wrote.

So we're clear, the words being discussed are "freaked out"

Yeah exactly. There are photos of him filming with his phone in his right hand, it’s obvious he’s still holding it during the scuffle. No reaching for his holster, no pulling out mags (what good would that even do him?) Any zoomed in stabilized 360p image of a blurry dark object in his right hand is the phone.

Gotcha. I misread. "Freaked out" is pretty much what I posted earlier in the thread.

Rob was pushing the "Brandished firearm" lie for a while after the shooting so I'm not shocked he'd be promoting that silliness.
