If Iran gets a nuke, nobody will screw with them regardless of the stuff they do. And coincidentally, they have enrichment centrifuges. And those are used for what?
Posted on 6/19/25 at 9:41 pm to SCLibertarian
No, we didn’t. Al Qaeda turned on the US after Saudi Arabia refused their help during Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait.

Another false narrative that “Iran has been weeks away from a nuke for 30 years”. In reality they’ve been stopped and shut down about 10 times in the interval and have had to regroup and restart again and again. It’s just another lie the pro Iran posters have managed to push.

And yet they are basically asking us to be publicly involved. Have they ever used them?
They are at least demonstrating an acceptable level of control, at the moment, that I don’t think you have any reason to believe Iran would do the same. That’s kind of the point.
But either way, I don’t condone basically anyone’s behavior in this entire conflict. I understand people being critical of anyone involved.

Iran backed Hamas and they killed a bunch of Israelis. Iran backed Hezbollah and they killed a bunch of US Marines some time ago.

All of this is correct. Iran ought to make a nuclear weapon priority number one. Seems the only way to not get fricked with: Iraq, Syria, Libya, Afghanistan, Yemen, etc, etc.

Did we intervene when Pakistan was getting a nuke?

Both are horrible.
Dont care for either nation honestly.
Its the people who suffer though.

Does Israel actually acknowledge the USSLiberty?

They have and they paid compensation to the families of the deceased and survivors.
Their official excuse however is that it was a case of mistaken identity and that excuse is far fetched when weighed against witness testimony

I never thought I’d live to see the day where Americans would be defending Iran, especially fellow conservative Americans.
Israel committed the preemptive act of aggression in this conflict. And I simply don’t trust Netanyahu, who has been saying Iran is close to a nuclear weapon for 30 years. The evidence shows that he has intentionally sown chaos and destabilization in the region. Not as a means to an end, but an end in itself. They want to cripple the Arab world and Persian countries so they can take over the region. And we shouldn’t get dragged into any of it.

Dayum. That is out there. Way out there - even for this board. And I don’t mean that as any insult whatsoever. And yes I acknowledge that it’s merely the opinion of a single person…..myself. But I stand strongly behind it.

US intelligence back in Oct. 2023 suggested that Iran was not aware of or had any involvement in the planning of Hamas’ attack. Let’s also not forget that Israel and the U.S. helped establish and support Hamas in the first place, to prevent the Palestinian Authority from establishing a state.

I’m talking about irans direct attack in April of last year. That’s when Israel started planning this shindig

When they retaliated for Israel bombing their embassy in Damascus?

yet they’re allowed to have 90 nuclear weapons.
This is one of the sillier arguments. Do you think preventing a nuclear weapon and forcefully taking 90 built nuclear weapons require the same amount of effort?
Do you think Israel voluntarily giving up their nukes in exchange is even in the realm of possibility?
Are you really concerned with Israel setting off a nuke? Are you certain Iran would never pass one to their terrorist proxies?

The Palestinians rejected a two state solution 3 times while Israel accepted it.
Hamas is an offshoot of the Muslim brotherhood which predates modern Israel.
