Then why is social distancing an acceptable response?

Six foot distance is acceptable for droplet not airborne. Doesn't aerosolization imply airborne?

Aerosol transfer is synonymous with droplet transmission. Sans an unfettered directional sneeze or hard cough, 6ft is generally protective.

ETA: There is some discussion as to whether CV19 actually is an airborne virus. As far as I know, that has not been established.

So we should all walk around looking like we are going to perform a surgery? Why is no one wearing a rag over their head , gloves and a surgery robe around ? Why are women wearing makeup and jewelry around town? Why are businesses using the same AC filters and not using the special ones that hospitals use?

How much longer do you think we will all be wearing these masks, NC?

There is a separate problem with masks as well. We need people who test positive to stay home, NEVER leave their house and strictly isolate themselves as much as they can.

Touting the benefits of mask wearing entices these people who know they are infected and contagious to leave their home and go about daily chores, incorrectly believing that by wearing a mask they are protecting everyone else from catching their germs. That's stupid. Yes, a mask is better than no mask, but it's way more important to quarantine.

The problem is the mask Nazis have hijacked the message and they care more about projecting their emotions. which they can do when they SEE someone not wearing a mask, but they can't see someone who is infected, not infected, immune, etc.

Until herd immunity knocks the case numbers out, or until therapeutics/vaccine reduce CFR to sub-flu levels.

My guess would be around mid-Jan i.e., ~ inauguration day.

To some degree we have to do as we’re told to maintain civility- so yes

You think other countries are part of this grand scheme to fool civilians or just America?

Do you wear clothes or roll naked?
Do you drive your car on the street or the sidewalk?
Do you use the trash receptacles or just throw your trash on the street?

Hypocrites, morons, and mindless sheep that all end up impacting the way other people are allowed to live their lives triggers me, sure. You happen to represent all 3 of those groups.

Take a breath. (Just don’t breathe out on anyone) Things will return to normal eventually. Until then, mask up, social distance and wash your hands.

Or I’ll keep living my life the way I deem appropriate and not bother you while you do the same.

Yes to some degree. Doing whatever the government says just because the government says so doesn’t qualify as some degree to anyone except you and your mindless sheep brethren.

Do I think bureaucrats and politicians all around the world are very much enjoying, and very reluctant to give up, the newfound power they've given themselves in the name of “public health” and the mindless sheep like you happily concede to them? All while not following the own mandates and policies they are enforcing on their constituents? Yes, absolutely.

Do you wear clothes or roll naked?

I wear clothes because I want to.

Do you walk around in a hazmat suit to eliminate the risk of you spreading a virus you may or may not be carrying? If not, why not?

I drive on the street because I want to.

Have you turned in the keys to all of your motor vehicles to your government overlords to eliminate the risk of you injuring another person in an accident? If not, why not?

quote:

Do you use the trash receptacles or just throw your trash on the street?

I throw trash in trash cans because I want to.

Do you wear a mask during flu season from November-April every year to reduce the chances of you spreading the flu? If not, why not?

No one can prove crap right now.

Well that’s interesting. Because all I keep hearing is that masks are necessary to prevent the spread of covid-19. Why would “experts” be making those claims without being able to prove them?

quote:

But, there is way more out there supporting lesser viral load suggesting less severe symptoms with similar type patients than articles stating viral load has nothing to do with it.

Where is the data showing cloth masks are having any significant impact on viral load?

You know what else is out there? Data showing cloth masks make the person wearing them more prone to infections than wearing nothing at all.

You know what else is out there? The infection curves from places like California that have had mask mandates in place for months now that look strikingly similar to the infection curves from places like Texas that just implemented mask mandates a couple weeks ago.

quote:

Prove me wrong.

Prove that cloth masks don’t do anything to stop the spread of covid 19? Do you make a habit of trying to prove things don’t exist, mr viral load guy?

Go walk around naked in public for a few hours, and I’ll be you’ll realize really quick that whether you want to or not, you HAVE to.

Can't speak for other municipalities but Dallas County has been using masks for months at this point despite when officials implemented a mandate. They just gave businesses the option to enforce or not. Most were enforcing. The before and after analysis is useless.

This doesn't mean what you think it means.

BTW, what was that totally ridiculous position you once took on firearms? AR15s maybe?
