Anytime someone under oath to tell the truth starts an answer with “my recollection is…” everything after is bullshite.
That is 100% an answer that is untruthful. No one can disprove what his recollection is/was at the time of giving that answer. Therefore, when anyone provides contradictory evidence later he can simply state: “well, I said it was my recollection. I dint say it was factual.”

My favorite part was Jim Jordan raking him over the coals for paying people for information when be could have just issued subpoenas. I think that will come back to haunt him.
