Gutfield has 600K more viewers, also far more in key demographic age bracket.
Gutfield does his show as well as the five.
Gutfield makes 7 million and knucklehead makes 20 million.
Some networks understand what drives profits......

So let me get this straight. 95% of hollyweird and television is Democrat. But one.. ONE gets shite canned and all hell breaks loose?
Old hag, we have a lot further to go to even break even.

Always thought she was cute. Her husband Christopher Guest (Nigel, of Spinal Tap) to my knowledge never rants about politics. Wonder if he silently rolls his eyes when Jamie goes off.

She's gonna look like the character she plays in The Bear soon enough

She got to where she is because of her dad. Even then she had to use her boobs for advancement.
STFU and just show your boobs.

Wife and I are watching the Bear for the first time. Episode we watched last night was the full hour flashback and intro to her character, along with Odenkirk. The Christmas dinner episode with the fork throwing..
We both were getting pretty bored with the series already. Glad that episode came along. That episode was freaking phenominal. One of the best hours of tv Ive seen in a while. Amazing acting, amazing writing. JLC was looking hella rough.. perfect for her character, but she was great. She's a freaking loon irl, but she did an amazing job on that episode.
By far the best episode of the series so far to me.

If the internet is correct and the show was losing $40,000,000 a year then yes, it was about ratings.
Not really, though. I think Colbert was winning the time slot. The problem was they have 200 people there, his salary is $15m and even if he took $5m instead, they would still be losing money. So, rather than go through all that, meaning cutting staff, belt tightening, all that, they thought it was easier just to dump it altogether (and probably true).
The same general problem with these huge movies have these days. If they were remotely fiscally responsible, these films could make some money. But since every major Disney(Marvel/Star Wars, etc.), Paramount or Universal movie costs $250m to $300m (before marketing) these days, there just isn't the headspace for profitability.
Not that the late night shows aren't already living on borrowed time - podcasts have replaced them for most folks - but something had to give and now it has.

Who gives a shite about winning the time slot? If winning the time slot means losing that much money. There is no prestige anymore having the top Late Night Show. Not really? What a joke. Winning what? Yay! Our ratings are better than yours. You think stockholders care about winning a time slot? They want profit. And winning a declining time slot is meaningless. I don't see anyone disputing the $40,000,000 loss per year. If that number is wrong then maybe you have an argument but multiple AI claim the number is valid along with several mainstream media news outlets.

I really feel bad for liberals after the Colbert cancellation. I understand their outrage and sadness since they have no other late night options for them…….
