Been Anti Cornyn since the Tx Capitol Tea party protest booed him off the stage following his TARP vote. I've voted against him in primaries and abstained in the general hoping that the outcomes would be slim enough to send a message.

What was your strategy for the lesser known primary battles? I didn't make selections for all spots before voting, so I had to get strategic for some.

Paxton will easily beat Crockett.
Talarico is toast.

same. He's been better than the democrat in the general every time, but I vote against him every primary.
Paxton runoff is the only reason to vote for him in a primary.

It’s the U.S. Senate. They are all establishment animals by definition. They serve 6-year terms and until 1912 weren’t even elected directly by the citizenry. You mainly want your guy to be a powerful member within that body to exert influence on the behalf of your state, and Cornyn is one of the most senior and important members within the chamber which is good for Texas. But mainly most of all in this era you want your guy to win and reliably vote for the correct judges, which Cornyn has.
I am probably slightly more aligned with Paxton on policy but it’s not a worthwhile gamble, nor is it worth the distraction and wasted money by the GOP because it will be a very competitive race if Paxton is the nominee.
I get it though. Cornyn comes across as nice and polished, and is a white haired, mild mannered white guy. So we don’t like him.

watched the Cornyn slander ad against Paxton last night, voted for Paxton this morning. Slander ads drive me in a different direction
the Cornyn slander against Hunt has been out of control as well.
"he missed most votes this year!"
uhhh yeah. his wife had an emergency birth and kid was in NICU for 2 weeks in January. The rest of the time he's a very regular voter.

People outside TX do not understand how most of the state feels about Paxton. You are 100% correct.

How much are you willing to wager that a Paxton-Talarico race is not within 5 points?

In a perfect world the primaries would be used to implement the term limits that so many people claim to want.

Will be doing the same shortly, frick that slimy Rino frick. You other states that keep sending the same Rino's to Washington only to screw us need to take notice, and there a few of you in here.

i haven't voted for an incumbent in a primary since Cruz in 2018 and i'm getting close to regretting that one.
see my post above. I haven't voted for Paxton, Patrick, or Abbott in a primary ever and yet here they are again.

Thanks for the reminder. I have a busy day. But I will make sure I get to the polls and vote for Cornyn.
