They're real badasses when it comes to statues, but they would never have the balls to confront those men in the flesh.
And I think that's why they hate them. They're still afraid of them all these years later.

Not even the Union built as many statues after the War.
No one was trying to wipe out northern culture.

Do you apply this logic to public money going to heal the psychological wounds of blacks? I'm guessing you're a hypocrite in this regard.

Are there plans yet to raze Jefferson's home on Monticello?

tearing down the statue of a US President is quite bold
Pretty sure that's a reference to Stonewall, not Andrew Jackson.

Just think....that Black Mayor, never went past those statues and never ventured into the park. The entire black community ate picnic lunches at the feet of the statues and were never insulted until an idiot came along and said they were.

The Confederacy fought the right war for the wrong reason.

Yeah, lots of “worship” there. Thanks for conceding that you don’t understand the English language. Or that even worse, you pretend words mean things they don’t to try to support your losing argument. Which is it?

There must be a reason for David Duke and company to spend their day at the foot of these statues and offering the talking points of "our culture" and "we can't tear down history". History is more routinely kept in book, not statues. As far as your high bar of worship these gentlemen do appear to being saluting and using items such as flag, badges ect. to pay homage to their "lost" cause.

Sherman was a notorious racist and Indian fighter.
Id say more like Indian slaughterer. I do find it so ironic that his middle name is Tecumseh, an Indian chief who wanted peace.

I wonder if Sheila Jackson Lee is ever triggered by her name?
If MTG brings it up....I may laugh to death...
Pretty sure that telling a black person that their last name came from slave owners isn't the sick burn you idiots think it is. But here's to hoping that MTG brings it up on the House floor.

So did you mean shrines? Cute, but I don’t recall ever seeing people worship at the foot of statues of confederates. We must not live in the same universe.

It’s purposeful.
It’s like burning someone in effigy. It’s a physical threat.
