You are missing the slippery slope. 20 years ago, this wasn't a concern. Now we have Muslims pushing the boundaries of constitutional law and even defense lawyers saying Muslims can't get a fair trial because US courts will not understand the complexities of their belief system, i.e. the kinds of behaviors that are allowed under sharia, such as beating women, beating children, honor killings, etc.
"Peaceful" Muslims are irrelevant because they aren't out there shouting Allahu Akbar and killing innocent national guardsmen and trying to force everyone to live under sharia law.
It's astonishing you are trying to stick up for these people who would absolutely abduct the females in your family, lock them in a basement and then torture them.

The “Sharia Law Courts” have no legal standing. If anybody subjects themselves to their jurisdiction, they’re doing so voluntarily. If they break the law in any way they should be prosecuted…

Reasonable people understand this.......the folks that get their "news" from grievance farmers promoting nonsensical conspiracy theories do not. They are convinced they will be conquered by 2% of the population. They promote unhinged conspiracy theories about people they have never met and places they will never go.

The Muslim faith-based arbitration has been around in Irving, Texas for almost a decade. List the people who have been harmed because they disagreed. Based on all your screeching and wailing you should be able to come up with lots of examples.
