WTH?

Yeah, we might fire back (hard to say with our broken military), but nobody wins when these start going off. Well, unless we don't fire back, then Russia and China kinda win, but the world is jacked up for a while.

I don't understand the lack of fear of nukes so many have today. Were we just smarter or better informed in the post WWII til 2010 era? Have people gotten incredibly dumber?

Why? Because of the internet, post apocalypse movies, gaming? Most of these fools today, if they survive the blast, would likely kill themselves because they suddenly don't have their phones to surf the net, chat and socialize.

M1 s going to Ukraine ?

This is a huge mistake.
This is a huge mistake.
This is a huge mistake.

And this will not end well.

This will result in WW3 and we will have to commit our troops to that theater.
We can defeat the Bear but that war will take 10 years and there will be thousands of casualties.
We may even lose a few cities here in the US.
Where the Hell is Blinken ?
Why is No One trying to broker a peace deal ?
When diplomacy fails War will result.

You have been told.

Abrams use high grade fuel that Ukraine doesn't have. The Leopards use diesel. We were trying to tell the German that the Abrams wasn't a good fit for Ukraine.

Logistics is why the Abrams works for us and won't for Ukraine.

Supposedly the US tanks are very fuel inefficient per the Colonel he interviews.

Oh well we can either send them more money for gas or some of our strategic crude. NBD.

Would need to send huge amount of support personnel. M1 has a turbine engine, seriously doubt they have the resources (parts, personnel, fuel etc) to take care of them.

Yeah that's the more troublesome part if true

Not really. Germans are hesitant to commit without the US leading the way.

Crazy. Ukraine had over 2500 tanks before the war started. Where did they go?

If the above is true …this war is going to get bigger quick. How many tanks are we sending?

The M1 engine is a multifuel engine that can run on diesel...

I was told a week or two ago when it was announced the US was sending Bradleys to Ukraine the Russians would not view that announcement as escalating the conflict........maybe the Russians will view the addition of Patriot missiles, Strykers, and M1 Abram tanks to Ukraine as an escalation? All I can say with certainty is it's not too late to invest in those MIC stocks and ETFs.

Because we provide military welfare for the West so they can have their domestic policies that Americans seem to love.

We do it so we can bully everyone else, they accept it willingly because its less expensive for them.

My understanding was Poland was sending their Leopards to Ukraine and would get theirs replaced, by the U.S., I am certain...

Germany originally gave the Leopards to Poland with an agreement that Poland could not give them to anyone else without Germany's approval...

Abrams uses a gas turbine engine originally designed for use in helicopters. I'm skeptical about Ukraine having the logistics capability to keep them fueled.

They're also very labor-intensive to maintain. Even if they knew how to operate them, there's no way that Ukraine can keep them operational without our help.

Supposedly the Pentagon says they would rather Leopard tanks be sent to Ukraine.

Why didn't you follow them?
