Ol' boy is precious, pretending like Mexico is a civilized member of western society.

They can't even get their own countrymen to stay there, much less refugees fleeing even worse conditions in adjacent Third World shitholes, despite their being a better fit culturally, in Mexico.

When Mexico has an infrastructure that allows drinking of tap water without giving someone diarrhea or lets you flush used toilet paper, then they can bow up ever so slightly.

I'm just waiting on punching bags on pallets sent home via C-130s or other cargo planes.

So we gave them weapons (fast and furious) and now we're going to go fight them?

It's kinda like giving the slow kid a head start...

No because it isn't true for now.

Special Forces will be training Mexican soldiers to help fight cartels

Not doing it themselves

The government is about to take control of the drug trade that the cartels control.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but...

At this point, we should just legalize drug use to a few select areas of the country and let nature run its course. No more Narcan, no more wasting ER space on overdoses. No more cuddling junkies. Just let drug users die.

Eventually, this will cause the cartels to run out of customers and their American operations will suffocate. There's no need to start a war that will likely get innocent people killed. Fighting a war just to save weak minded, undisciplined junkies isn't worth it.

Special Forces 7th group has been there for a few days “training”. Canada needs to allow US to do the same for the Cartel operations at the northern border.

Israeli agents were the ones who taught cartels how to conduct urban warfare against the military. They also sold them weapons/equipment and trained them how to torture/dispose of enemies.

Mexico is just another country Israel has stuck their nose in and has had a hand in keeping it destabilized.

The Mexican Senate did not give approval for US Special Forces to take on cartels directly, they approved US Special Forces coming to Mexico to train Mexican soldiers.

It will be like what we did in Colombia. They will be much more involved in terms of coordination, intel, and targeting, and planning and yes training too.... It will be the Mexican forces that can be relied on that willl go in and do the job. The Mexican Marines are the forces the government relies on when they need to take some of these people down.

So we can train them

Who then train the cartels

Which make them more lethal and harder to control.

Solid plan.

You guys should probably check the community note. As cool it would be for what your'e thinking is happening, all that's happening would already probably be happening (SF training forces which is legit their role).
