Intolerance of political difference is precisely what is wrong with this country. You can recite the "can't tolerate immoral ideologies" argument all day long, but you should know that the other side thinks the same thing about you--that YOUR positions are the morally intolerable ones.
We share a country. We pool our resources to pursue common ends. There has got to be some set of shared values here, and there is no better place to start than re-learning how to sustain disagreement.
