If you want to lose faith in our medical system, talk to like 10 NPs.

These schools have become degree farms. You pay your money. You become an NP. Profit.

VOR, would keeping them in the kitchen & bedroom even help you other than mommy making sure your meals are ready? Being that family life has diminished since the 50’s I’m going with something that worked rather than something that it evolved into

You’ll notice that the other degrees left off the list aren’t kicking and screaming. And FTR, after a brief survey around the hospital this AM, not many give a shite.

I think the biggest issue was that a buncha women got butt hurt because they thought Trump told them they weren’t professionals. An emotional reaction to a perceived slight that is most assuredly supported by their professional organizations and instructors as they have been seeking validation in medicine for years.

Too many dumb people get 250K in debt with bullshite degrees then bitch about paying their loans back because they can find jobs with adequate income to live and pay off their loan obligations.

Now those with poor degree choices want us to forgive debt.

100% for capping loan amounts.

Debt forgiveness on student loans should cause them to forfeit their right to vote and participation in any government assistance program until they repay their debt.

I'd seek an employer who subsidizes or pays for education/training.

Hospital based schools of nursing, which produced light years better RN's in 2.5 year programs, need to be brought back. The 4 year BSN is a joke with nurses getting out who don't know what the hell they are doing...the nuns produced a much better product, in half the time for a quarter of the cost....
The Diploma grads took the exact same State Board exams as 4 year BSN' s and made the same money...the nursing shortage would disappear overnight if they brought them back. When the snooty academic nurses forced the shut down if these hospital based schools of nursing healthcare lost the best of the best, who could actually assess patients and deliver quality care.
This arguement drives the academics crazy as they can't fathom their profession should not be full of people with Masters an Doctorates who don't actually have any bedside experience and just stayed in school forever.....I am related to 3 new BSN grads and I can honestly say none of them had a clue of what they were doing after a private 4 year university education, zero, and all went straight to work in ICU. Absolutely terrifying. But, oh, they were prepared to take that State Board Exam....
If you think the doctors are taking care of you in the hospital think again..The RN's are with you 99% of your stay and they better know what they are doing.

Vote for what? I get you a leftist loon, but speak clearly what you are trying to imply. As another poster stated, the cap will not affect majority of nurses. This appears to just be anecdotal griping. Do you require government to solve all of your problems? (don't answer that, we know YOU do)

She was probably a nurses aid, or an LPN.... RN's today do a lot more shite than your grandma back in the day...

My wife got a degree from a 2 year community college. I’d say she’s better than any nurse I’ve met who I knew had a 4 year degree. She did it at a fraction of the cost and made the same money.

Let’s have more of that IMO.

Yep. I refuse to see one anymore. I'm sick of having to diagnose my own illness to get antibiotics.

If you ever have to spend some time in the hospital, your opinion may change. Nurses are some of my favorite people.
