The GOP is fighting their own candidate in Maricopa County. How does that make sense?
Is that candidate basing their entire political existence on the 2020 POTUS election, perpetual grievance, and whatever Donald Trump Truths every day?
If so, you have your answer

Of course ANYONE other than Trump has a better chance in ANY other year other than 2024, because 35-45% of the GOP primary voting base just cannot move on.
Trump is polling way above that. But, yeah, that’s right. The headwinds were extremely tough.
And any politically smart person knew this.
But you are also discounting the positive impact supporting Trump would have had in 2028…and the negative impact for opposing him.

These people must love losing
Like the time we all won on repealing Obamacare because John McCain was the Senator from Arizona? That kind of "winning?"

Anyone that wants 2020 and J6 to be campaign issues want Democrats to win elections
Wrong...the reason the Dems win in 2024 is because 2020 wasn't treated with the serious nature it should have been and thus will happen again.

Neat? Polling is meaningless, national polling most meaningless of all. Donald Trump was a plurality nominee in 2016, and he’ll be a plurality nominee in 2024. The only time he’s had majority support as a candidate in the Republican Party in an election cycle is the time he didn’t have an opponent.

Trump’s loser candidates/surrogates have no chance once Trump himself is out of the picture. He’s the only thing that got losers like Lake, Gibbs, Mastriano, etc nominated. Those types are toast when Trump isn’t there to drag them to plurality primary election victories.

quote:Even state-wide polling is trash, in many states unless it oversamples populated areas (most don't). It's why every 4 years republicans get wet and think they're going to win WI and NV (could probabaly add GA from here out too), and end up losing them. Those states are decided by a couple of districts within the most populated counties.
Neat? Polling is meaningless, national polling most meaningless of all.

He won’t win.
But he was probably the best on policy that the gop threw up last year for senate. That isn’t saying much of course.
He was a horrible candidate.

Guaranteed? That's a strange requirment.
Not a "requirement".
More a "talking point" from Patriots scolding him for daring to challenge Trump in 2028.
quote:
If he had backed Trump, he'd clearly have a much better chance in '28 than he does running against Trump in '24.
That depends on just how many MAGA acolytes are vying for the status as leader of the Patriots in opposition to RDS. If it was 3 or more, then he'd have a shot.

Blake Masters is superior to Lake in every way.
