I almost did during the primaries.

I righted my ship. So did the rest of the country.

I didn't care who was the republican nominee. I vote straight republican. I'm very happy Trump won. He has been through a lot. I like Trump and I like Desantis.

Edit to clarify: not all Ron supporters were RonBots. But RonBots were never trumpers who tried to tell us Trump couldn’t win and we had to support Ron or we would lose.

This distinction was never made in real time. If you supported RDS rather than Trump, you were a RonBot.

Many, if not most, RonBots knew the Republican nominee was going to win and the primary contest was about who would get more shite done as POTUS. I argued in these threads that DeSantis was the way to go based on his track record and Trump's failures in 2020.

And I'll just remind us all that the easy part is behind us and the hard part ahead. Beating a f'n braindead Leftist cannot be the crowning achievement of Trump II.

To Trump's credit he has done/said a lot to give confidence that his second term will be more productive than his first. He has definitely surrounded himself with people that are lightyears better than those around him in 2020, and he has kept the few gems from back then. It seems like he learned a lot from the first go round.

If he follows through with his promises about right-sizing permanent Washington, closing the border, deporting illegals, ending wokeism in institutions, etc, he'll go down as the next face on Mt Rushmore - and I will happily acknowledge I was wrong about my DeSantis/Trump judgment during the primary.
