The United States Attorney’s Office contacted the Federal Reserve on multiple occasions to discuss cost overruns and the chairman’s congressional testimony, but were ignored, necessitating the use of legal process—which is not a threat.
The word “indictment” has come out of Mr. Powell’s mouth, no one else’s. None of this would have happened if they had just responded to our outreach.
This office makes decisions based on the merits, nothing more and nothing less. We agree with the chairman of the Federal Reserve that no one is above the law, and that is why we expect his full cooperation.

Cost overruns are not Pirro's concern until the House Banking and Finance Committee refers it to her.

Why does a lawyer need to be a mother-in-law to handle this?
Oh, wait…
Oh, wait…

Are military tribunals about to open up?
Posted on 1/14/26 at 4:27 pm to Timeoday
Something's getting ready to happen, That's for sure.
Might not be next week, but the pieces are all lining up in spectacular fashion for our much overdue fireworks.

Actual article instead of Twitter slop

The Pentagon is working to surge dozens of military lawyers to Minneapolis to assist in federal prosecutions amid an immigration enforcement crackdown there, according to two officials familiar with the matter and a written request that has circulated inside the Defense Department.
The emailed request, reviewed by CNN, says that Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has directed the military services to identify 40 judge advocate general officers, from which 25 will be selected to serve as special assistant United States attorneys in Minneapolis.
“Ideally have significant experience in criminal prosecution, civil litigation, administrative law, immigration law, general litigation, or other related fields,” the request says.
If they're sworn in as AUSAs it's not a military-based prosecution. They would remain as JAGs alone in that case. AUSAs do cases in regular courts outside of military law, which is why the JAGs need the special designation.
Also, this is not part of something new/big, as it's been happening for a while with no military tribunals in sight.

Last August, the Pentagon planned to detail 20 JAGs to Washington, DC, in what DC US Attorney Jeanine Pirro said was aimed at “fighting and reducing crime in the district.” And just last week, the Pentagon detailed 20 JAGs to Memphis “to support” a White House directive to “restore order” to the city, the US attorney for the western district of Tennessee said in a statement.
The Pentagon in September also authorized up to 600 military lawyers to serve as temporary immigration judges around the country, in phases of 150 at a time as needed, CNN has reported.
