Spot on. And not only "self reliant", but loving. REAL love.
Helmut Schoeck's Book ("Envy") describes a form of (psychoses) on page 322 which he labels as a "distant and generalized human love in many intellectuals". He referenced Work by C.P. Snow which depicted many of these "social idealists" as being "impossible, ungrateful, arrogant, insensitive and incapable of sensing or imagining the feelings and thoughts of others". Sounds like Sociopathy to me, and the Good Book speaks of 'end time' scenarios where people have no "natural affection".
My GGD loved Peppa Pig, and I had to sit and watch it many times with her in my lap. It was clean and happy, albeit trivial as is most of our current cultural and spiritual paradigm.
Your point is well taken, C; they are indeed out to destroy Familial love and cohesion. Evil, masquerading as Love...the "distant" or Universal version IRL. Both Sides believe they represent Truth. Immovable Object meet Unstoppable Force. Jesus will sort this out, IMO.
And for the record, I have no problem with what people do in their sex life. Karma and the Good Lord's Judgment will handle that. And that is if we are lucky enough for there to be God and Universal Justice. Otherwise, none of this matters...as we cease to be forever.

They better not come for Bluey. That’s the last wholesome kids cartoon on television.
Might have to subscribe to DW Kids as soon as it comes out…

Ruined a show for millions because 23k people signed a petition…
Well, we’ll see how well that works out for them

Yeah, if you think a poorly drawn cartoon about a spoiled porcine brat is great.

Typical liberal slow boil.
Few complain about thick platinum blonde lesbians.
Next season will feature ostriches pole dancing in fishnets.

That must be the real reason they're dying off

Are the polar bears flannel-wearing long haul truckers?

im getting so friggin sick of this shite. i just want to watch normal people on normal shows. i dont go out of my way to avoid gay people/couples and i dont know any, at least any that i hang out with. i also dont know any trannies. aside from a seeing them while running errands, i wouldnt know they even existed, but i flip the TV on and its all you see. fact is, everything they are shoving down our throats is quite uncommon, at least where i live. maybe i live in a bubble, but whats a baw gotta do to watch normal TV again?

Hopefully they won't cave, but they are on the radar...
ETA: I had to read that article a few times to ensure it was not satire. It is not satire unfortunately.

My question is this: Can Bluey be more representative? (And yes, I'm aware that Bluey's Border Collie pal Mackenzie is from New Zealand.)
As a parent of colour, I am always conscious of the presence — or absence — of diverse representation in kids' pop culture, what it means for children and the conversations we have around that. I sincerely believe you don't have to be 'Other' to think about this too.
We live in a world where the majority of main characters on children's television are white; where there are more animals than people of colour protagonists populating the pages of children's books.
Where are the disabled, queer, poor, gender diverse, dogs of colour and single-parent dog families in Bluey's Brisbane? If they're in the background, let them come forward. (Maynard, voiced by Sean Choolburra, I'm looking at you.)

acknowledging
Even IF abnormal sexual identities were appropriate to acknowledge on a children's show, there is a difference between acknowledging and promoting. If you want it promoted, fine, but let's be honest about what we're discussing.

Let’s all take a moment to mourn this once great cartoon.
Peppa is a pretty funny show. Watch all the time at home and never really noticed much wokeness, in fact they throw subtle stereotypes about all the animals into their writing (fox randomly hanging around the hen house at night while the pigs go out to check it).
Will be turning it off if I notice any changes, but I think my kids watch all the earlier episodes on repeat.
