Note Pope Leo does not say the deportation of immigrants; he is saying the inhuman treatment of immigrants. He is not saying we shouldn't be against crime; he is saying we should have a culture of life.
He is just being chickenshit by making his statement vague. He knows exactly how his comment will be interpreted.

I didn’t hear him say that. That’s just like, your opinion man.
quote:
“Someone who says that ‘I’m against abortion, but I’m in agreement with the inhuman treatment of immigrants in the United States,’ I don’t know if that’s pro-life.”
Did he clarify his remarks to make it clear he WASN'T saying that America's treatment of immigrants is inhumane?

why what did he say is wrong?

One is innocent and should have a chance at life and the other has forfeited his chance for further life.

Are we going to have the same thread on this same topic every day now?
This is the 3rd thread on this very same topic in two days.

There are definitely immigrants being treated inhumanly in America right now. Just look at how the coyotes pack them into unventilated trucks to cross the border or leave them in the desert without any supplies.

Simple: someone that would kill another human being is inhuman. Therefore, the death sentence for an inhumane person is not really the same as abortion. Has he got anything else I can help him with?

Before this "frick the Pedo Pope and frick Catholics" Daily thread goes for ten pages, I would like to remind everyone that Christians are called upon to be Charitable. Are we being charitable in this thread?
Christians are also cautioned that Satan is the Accuser and he lies and distorts the truth to his own ends as he Accuses.
Are we sure that our posts in this thread are not using Satan's Tactics of distorting the whole truth for the purpose of being the Accuser?
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

wow, a Pope who doesn't know the scriptures...that's a new one.

That's exactly correct!

You should not have to pit Paul against Jesus but I would not interpret anything he says in Romans 13 as to endorsing or approving the death penalty. I've always read that as Paul warning the followers that the Romans hold temporal power and will not hesitate to use the sword....so be mindful
Acknowledging is nt the same as agreement.
Well, he is God and as such will do God things. We however are not God, as such we should not do God things.....does not matter how you twist the justification

The Pope can go frick himself. You worry about your WALLED city and stay in your fricking lane, you don't dictate how we run our country. Bitch.

Well, I am catholic, and I'll say the same thing I said about the last pope. When they open up the gates of Vatican city and allow illegal immigrants to pour in I'll at least not look at him as a hypocrite.

What you're describing here is the Holy Spirit.
The relevant scripture is Matthew 5.
And it does relate to the Old and New Covenant. Jesus was explaining to people that the Old Covenant was necessary and sufficient for the purposes of limiting outward evil behavior and actions toward each other, but not sufficient for changing people's hearts on the inside so that they became more like Him.
This is why He says he didn't come to abolish but to fulfill the Law, and it's why He ends the chapter with, "Be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect."
Obviously we can't do that without God, in the form of Jesus as our example and redeemer and the Holy Spirit indwelling within us.
