Didn’t you move to Alaska counting on that check coming every year?

Coal Power Plants are going extinct. We can already power the ones we have with the coal we produce.

Still a whole lot cheaper and quicker than building a new plant of any type.

We still use turbines built in the 1920s in places. I’ve seen pictures of old train engines turned into generators.

Been a bad week for them, they were promised multiple “wins” to only be shite on at every turn…. Now they are clinging to anything that might give them hope…. Bless their hearts…

All are pieces of the power grid. Depends on the area and what method is the better solution.

We have resources with energy potential. We should use them. China (and Asia) are building more and more coal plants. Cheap energy spurs our economy more then anything else.

One day, we're going to have nuclear fusion and still have Pennsylvanians digging up rocks to go fill in the last hole they dug because electoral politics dictate it.

Just use children.

They yearn for the mines.

Under this logic there can never be a new business, a second store, new manufacturing, etc simply because no one is currently doing it.

Agreed. But it’s also not the government’s job to end those jobs either.

Coal was affected negatively in a major way by government influence

When at full employment, its a viable concern.

Oh, I agree. But its also the govts job to be efficient and wise with choices.

Coal in many of those areas is dying whether we want it or not. Most of these workers moved, retired or started selling meth and coal is not efficient compared to plentiful natural gas.

You are so easy to figure out. You’re a blue collar worker that is a closeted homosexual. It’s why you constantly trash the working class and consistently talk about how manly you are.

I don’t know if him being gay is why he is the way that he is…but he’s definitely had sexual experiences with men.
