She had pancreatic cancer but lived a long life.

Truth. She should have retired years ago. I guess her CrossFit competition is cancelled.

There are some things that are worse than death, and pancreatic cancer is one of them. I gave watched many people battle pancreatic cancer and it is as close to a living hell on earth for the person involved that I want to imagine.

The left: "if another SC justice is confirmed before the election, we will burn everything down!"

The right: "so what? You've already burned everything down."

I mean, I’d hope the president is salivating at establishing a legacy that will outlast him for decades. Acosta may be a douchebag, but the report is hopefully correct.

Both my parents died of cancer. I hate it. RBG was a tough arse woman. I didn’t agree with most of her positions but I admire her tenacity and will to fight.

Rest In Peace.

My brother died of pancreatic cancer only lasted six months after diagnosis. I don’t see a bit before the election but I think I would rather have a conservative on the court than a trump second term if I was forced to choose

Absolutely.

This is will galvanize the entire left.

They’ll be screaming about women’s rights and everything else.

It's a two way street. It will galvanize the 1st and 2nd Amendment advocates on the right as well. I'm not really sure who benefits more from this. What I am sure of though is that this is going to muddy up the water for the next two months even more.

If I'm Trump I'm not sure I even want to nominate anyone now. First off the second he does the only two words out of the media's mouth for the next month will be Winston Garland. Secondly you have an edge on the court now as it is. Assume that the Court is going to have to make some kind of ruling on the election (seemed like a safe bet yesterday, this isn't going to decrease those chances). If you nominate someone now the media will scream that you are trying to fix the election. At worst now the court is 4-4 or 5-3 in your favor so the odds are still somewhat in your favor and you eliminate another talking point of the media if you wait. The only scenario where you might do something different is if you do a really thorough job of taking Roberts temperature on any proposed election protocol issues and you don't like the reading on the thermometer.

Don’t agree with her mostly but I respect her. RIP

Though it seems pretty selfish of her not to retire while Obama was in office. IMO a SCJ has no business serving well into their 80’s. She took a huge risk and the Democratic Party will pay for it.

What? Pick Coney-Barrett and let the chips fall where they may BEFORE the election. Quit being soft.

Tillis and Collins are far from reelection locks. If they want to keep their seats, they better get on board.

Tillis and Collins will 100% be out of the senate if they vote No. but the GOP could still potnentiaolt squeak by with Collins as a No. tillis would be fricked.
