1st of all, I clicked 1 random page of your post history and found 3 examples of posts that can be taken out of context to make you seem less than you claim you are. I don't have the time or care to dig more but a big corporation with bottomless pockets like, hmmm... CNN, could surely find more. As you said, you post worse than that on TD.
But seriously, if you can't see how a major corporation taking a stranger's posts and - not even posting them entirely and in context - using them to turn the social mobs against that individual then threatening to release his identify to that mob (after getting them all fired up)... if you can't see how scary and freaking irresponsible that is then there is no point in responding.
1) CNN claims it never endorses violence
2) CNN chums the water with clips of "racist" posts edited for brevity, of course
3) CNN threatens to tell pissed off horde identity of offender
What could happen?

Let's shift the conversation a bit. What can actually be done about this? From a legal stand point. I'm not talking about 4chan revenge and hell fire...surely something will come of this.

I am going to guess CNN will fire the writer and say that is not acceptable. Really no other choice.

I don't know if there is any legal recourse to be taken. It's borderline blackmail in my opinion but I'm pretty sure there is something out there that protects CNN from prosecution.
