No, nerd. Kamala and the Dems were pushing for mass censorship of conservatives and criminalization of online and public speech... that THEY didn't like. That's not happening with Trump. Elon paid $44 billion to preserve conservative speech along with liberals' speech, free speech for all, online with Twitter. If you're too stupid to see that... you're a retard.

All true, and I said I agreed with you on this.
The part that was misleading is the implication that you could not say these things in your house. That is generally untrue. If your MIL reported you for saying something in your house she would have to show that you were heard in a public space.

I am fine if we cut off all foreign aid and cooperation with the EU/UK if they intend to continue to enforce draconian policies that infringe upon person human rights and freedoms.

I think you are attributing lassitude to malice. The people running for office, and winning, are generally self-serving rather than in service to an ideology. They went along with the zeitgeist because they really didn’t care much - it’s what got people elected.
The zeitgeist has very much changed, and with it your Overton window has lurched back to the right. Guys like Marco Rubio, who probably thinks a lot like you and me, has gone from being a deep-state looking creature to MAGA, not just because it sells, but probably because he now feels like he can…and because it sells.
