While you discuss trade leverage and act like the largest consumer market in the world is not trade leverage, that gives me an idea of where you are operating from, which is not based in reality. The United States consumer market is larger than the European Union, China and India combined. Yet you do not think that is not trade leverage? What fricking planet are you living on?

No it’s not. At all.
Derangement implies some sort of irrationality
When the criticism of this policy has proven to be hyper rational and correct
How is being rational and correct being "deranged"?

SCOTUS upheld a lower court ruling that ruled that the Preisdent exceeded his powers in placing tariifs, as this lies within the purvey of Congress.
The lower court's original case was brought by two small businesses who made the claim that the tariifs were illegal. As long as SCOTUS holds this attitude about tariifs in general, I don't see how any work around would eventually work.

quote:yeah. Apparently, one can only bring suit if Trump does it, so the climate tariffs would have never been challanged.
This Court would’ve ruled against using the IEEPA for climate taxes so why even make that claim other than for spin?

Is the Trump admin's push to remove the independence of Congressionally-authorized independent agencies sincere or 8D bingo?
What about their expansive interpretation of the Aliens and Enemies Act?

Under the IEEPA
He could use plenty of other Acts
Which Kav laid out for him (and the admin knew, anyway)

For all of this talk about Plan B, I cannot for the life of me understand why we’d want to go there in the first place.
If the administration had thought Plan B was the best way to go it would not be called Plan B.

!00% prices aren't coming down.
Did prices really go up because of tariffs? I would think minimally at best as they cogs were reduced by other policies to reduce cost.
The price increases were more from the globalist activist intentionally trying to sabotage the tariff policies.

It's not unlike how pepole kept saying "Mayorkis is incompetent!". No. He wasn't. He was doing exactly what he intended to do.

We all know Trump is super old and falls asleep at random times, but he isn't 250 years old. Your statement isn't fair to the geezer.

But what happens when you get the Dem Trump and a Dem Congress...
People post about the slippery slop from gay marriage legalization to the "trans bill of rights" in 10 years, but act like a unitary executive in the hands of the Dems wouldn't be the total destruction of the country.

It’s cool that this is front page news on every website and they’ll talk about it for weeks perhaps , yet not a single person here will see any difference in their life at all. So who cares.

It is more about challenging and attempting to expand executive power and authority.

NO you dolt. It's about embarrassing themselves to decrease executive power that the DEMs will try to wield one day.
