Pretty sure he’s a big evangelical. Hope I’m wrong on that though.
I hope you aren’t. This country was built on freedom of religion. Not communism.
Can’t believe they voted MJ in, but I love it.

Impressive how a right-wing, MAGA, overtly Christian white man can get more Democrats to stand up and cheer with him and for him than I've seen in quite a while.

Based on nothing except the progressive twats that are forced onto the X timeline and their full on meltdown, this must be a great pick for speaker.

"Big Evangelical"
___
You mean like believing every person has been endowed by the Creator with certain unalienable rights?
I certainly hope so.

I’m an atheist and I hope he lives up to his highest Christian values.
If so and he inspires others to Christianity, that is no “threat” to me. I don’t see harm in others “believing” and I’m not in competition with them.
Christians succeeding and getting more team members doesn’t cause ME a loss in any way whatsoever.
If the Speaker gets strength from it, I wish God’s blessings all over him. Saying that caused me no pain at all.

For the first time in a long time, I'm proud of the house conservatives

Scalise doing all these resolutions confirming Johnson's election

The beautiful, LSU Alum Sandra Smith dropping tons of LSU references on Fox.

He's the first NON-SMARMY Speaker in a long time. People will be drawn to his quiet integrity even as the gaslighting Marxist media scares off the NPR crowd with endless scary white supremacist Christian boogiemen topes.

You are the funniest, well balanced with perspective and respectful atheist I've ever heard from.
God bless lol

Not that it is unexpected but the completely partisan, compromised and dishonest media has already painted him as the election denying, homophobic.
People, this is why we will never be able to come together as a country.

It’s a good day for conservatives. So happy for Mike Johnson. He’s going to do a fantastic job

Hope you are pleased someone is in the speaker's chair who believes the Earth is 6,000 years old.
