He was one of the few people who had the ability to get the swamp republicans in line with the electorate, when necessary.

It's a bad place where they don't ever feel they have to do so.

Some good journalist need to go ask her pastor parents what they think about abortion. Guaranteed this would've already been done if some Rebuplican said something equally as stupid.

Maybe for the Philistines. Not for Christians though.

The problem being that this is NOT what Abrams said.

I disagree with much that she DID say, but is anyone surprised to see that a site called “LifeNews” would … exaggerate … to get a more-sensational headline?

Show of hands … how many took the time to read the article … versus just accepting the false premise that Abrams said the words presented in the headline?

I pretty much agree, but is it any more so than the crudely-reductionist language used by (basically everyone on) this forum to describe “the other side?”

She forgot to say, “Jeremiah 1:5 is bullshite”

Because she sort of has to say that to say that “nothing” supports the concept of life beginning at conception.

Where does the bible discuss abortion?

Well, God told Abraham to do a late term abortion on his son.

Sure, that's not EXACTLY what she said. If she isn't trying to to imply Biblical support for abortion, then why say this:

quote:

I was trained to read and understand the Bible, and I will tell you this

Edit to add I read the article

I read the article
Then you know that she was saying that nothing in the Bible explicitly prohibits abortion … which is accurate.

“LifeNews” then misreported that she said the Bible affirmatively SUPPORTS abortion.

Left or Right, biased sites use clickbait, biased headlines. It is up to the intelligent, informed reader to assess the actual facts, which are SOMETIMES set forth in the article.

Wonder what Mom and Dad think about abortion and if they should have used it to terminate gap tooth?

The Bible has multiple passages condemning the killing of innocents.

They sure did, but that still doesn't change that she wouldn't have said the part about studying the Bible her whole life to imply there is Biblical support for abortion. Why do you think she included that?

I guess it was a good thing the prophet Jeremiah wasn't aborted.

1:4 The Lord gave me (Jeremiah) this message: 5 “I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.”

Jeremiah 1:4-5

The Bible also talks about how the ignorant twist scripture to their own destruction. Stacey Abrams should know that plantation owners used to quote scripture to justify the institution of slavery to abolitionists. I'm sure she would disagree with their interpretations.

You may be referring to this in Romans 1:
