Sharing video alerts authorities where to look.

Anything over the airwaves can be jammed. Cell phones, GPS, starlink, etc. US military has countermeasures for it (they have their own GPS civilians can't access). Civilians are SOL when the jamming starts, though.

Anything that is using a wave to transmit intelligence/data can theoretically be "jammed"

RF directional finders have been used for decades. Even if you move it between buildings, you will eventually develop a pattern.

Did you just shite on your own point?

Never sit anywhere near anything with an antenna, transmitting or receiving, if you're a danger to anyone. You can be located.

What are the rangers of jammers? If they wanted to get information in and out, could they not just move around in a car until they got a signal? They certainly aren’t jamming their entire airspace?

Jammers can have a lot of range depending on the wavelength, Venezuela is a bit bigger than Texas, so it doesn't take a ton of Growlers to cover that area. Stuff may bleed through, but it won't be consistent enough to allow real functionality to occur. Basically, if you imagine that if you can get 65% of the message through, your SAM system may know sort of what to do. When you're dealing with Russian shite that isn't maintained, and the operators don't know how to change frequencies, etc., the data transmission will be far lower than the effective threshold to operate. "I see Santa!" (not the Night Stalkers coming in to deliver cosmic justice, and especially not the F-22s and F-35s)I was on the transmission side, not the jamming side, but I think that's pretty close for a layman.

The counter is to do exactly what you describe, and what they did to Eli Cohen in Syria, is to drive around from street to street triangulating signals.

It's also a hell of a way to set up an ambush. Lights go out, power up a Starlink WIFI dish. The authorities come in force to deal with whoever is trying to read Elon Musk tweets, and a series of explosives goes off the second they get close enough.

Also, they are doing short transmissions and receptions. 1k to 2k Directions on coordinating and what is going on, then off.

Braver Iranian patriots are uploading videos.

I've repaired and worked in the manufacturing of RF equipment such as wind shear radar and comms that are installed in commercial transport aircraft, DEA helicopters. I've also installed various types of wifi systems in sports stadiums and large office buildings and I've installed quite a bit of equipment in cell towers.

I know a little bit about RF propagation and shielding.

I was reading on some about some of the old tech and drills that was done in the early Cold War for Colerad which was the predecessor to the Emergency Broadcast system.

One thing that was mandated was that in the event of a war only two radio stations would be operating at 640 or 1240 AM and both stations would change on and off so as to not give in coming Russian fighters a target to hit. Stations would also operate at really low power to further shield the stations.
