Taiwan was in Japanese hands at the end of WWII and the geniuses at the UN put it in China's hands under the Nationalist Kuomintang. When they were defeated, they fled to Taiwan where they massacred a lot of Taiwanese who didn't want to be under their boot. Over three generations, that's smoothed out, but nobody from any line wants to be under China's boot.

China knows they are one cruise missile away from being manufacturing free for a minimum of 20 years. One missile into the Three Gorges Dam and every manufacturing city with millions drowning will be at least 20 feet under water.

Correct. That is indeed the plan. Outside of this situation, China has a major problem on its hands: it has 34 million more men than women. So what do you do with 34 million men that have absolutely no prospect of marriage? It’s simple, you put them in the military.
Some of these 34 million men are currently coming over our southern border, but many of the rest of them may die on Taiwanese shore and in the Strait of Taiwan. So as fricked up as it is, this is actually a perk to the CCP and part of the plan.

China is going to use the same strategy Russia used to prepare for invasion. Like Russia, they claim their buildup and escalations are just military drills. Then the drill is no longer a drill.
China has to do this before the election. They will have to make a determination if Trump 2.0 is imminent and if they believe so, then they will initiate action with nothing to lose and tying Trump admin hands.

This is where us common folks think differently from the over lords. We care about the worthless waste of life. The overlords don’t. Better to send young men off and have mass casualties on foreign shores than to have those same young men at home and risk that someday they might overthrow those in charge. Sending them away kills two birds with one stone
