IMO, it is hatred or discrimination against others based solely on race. Most of what is called racism today is not even close to "true racism". Does it exist? Sure and it always will. However, most hate and discrimination has much more to do with people's actions and attitudes than their race.
In other words, most people do not judge others by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. It's just that the content of so many people's character fails the judgement.

Many such cases. It seems all words for black people and retarded people have a shelf life, and after a certain amount of time, those words are expired and we have to come up with another word.

Saying "I'm not ashamed to be white" is logical. Shame should occur when you have DONE SOMETHING WRONG. Pride should occur when you have DONE SOMETHING RIGHT. Saying "I'm proud to be white' is therefore illogical since you have not DONE SOMETHING RIGHT to achieve whiteness.
