I don’t know. I’m a physician and we live below our means. But even I am noticing the cost of surviving in this country going up. And given how financially illiterate most folks in this country are, I think more and more of them are gonna join those living on the government tit. The gov can’t spend to infinity (though they’ll try), and the more they spend the worse they make it for your every day American any ways. Something’s gotta give. And I think we are close to far enough gone that we see it in our lifetime. So yeah we aren’t a dystopia, our standard of living is still the best in human history. But I think there is going to be a lot of pain for a lot of people in the somewhat near future.

I do think there is a political solution though. It just wont happen since the solution is less centralized power. Unfortunately centralized power only goes in one direction once you allow it to.

My new favorite poster! Although, spelling “too” correctly makes me doubt you are an authentic TD poster.

a proper Convention would just be hijacked/derailed by the same grifting charlatans that currently consider themselves career politicians.

unless the membership of the convention excludes elected officials you won't get any creativity.

its hard to get agreement on td to enact one amendment.

who votes in new America? only tax payers.
how is senate elected?
who can own land? single family houses? absentee foreigners?
how are schools funded?
do your neighbors and parents run schools or people with PhDs?
want drinking water with or without fracking chems?
how will power be sold?
how will water be distributed?
any 5 year plans or just $$$$$ now?

debt to gdp higher than after ww2. Maybe we can have another world war that destroys every other national economy so we can dig ourselves out, eh?

First, our decline right now has been caused by public policy decisions (starting with social security). It could be changed by massive public reversal of opinion. However, you don't explain 'systemic' and I have one pessimistic idea of why we can never stop the decline. The systemic issue may be intelligence. The public out there is incredibly ignorant.
99% of the actual living humans in America have no idea of the relationship of big business and corrupt govt bureaucracy.

Cwill is safe. He doesn't think independently.

Commies come after those with the ability to think outside the box. That dude has never met an "official narrative" that he didnt believe.

He's safe.

What garbage. Did it “not make a difference” when Reagan charted a new course and set America in a new course of unprecedented prosperity? Of course, it did. While I don’t worship this board’s Orange god, think of the incredible policy differences he made. Rising real wages—fastest for the bottom half of wage earners—and a fruitful (Mideast deals) and peaceful foreign policy. and oh yeah, he didn’t cripple us with awful legislation like the Orwellian-named inflation Reduction Act. Things are nowhere near as bad as ninnies like the OP think, and elections damn sure matter.

So, I don't know, I totally trust state governments to be above board.

We don't need 100% of them to be above board. COS allows for CA, NY, OR, WA to be liberal frick ups.

Moreover, isn't the relevant test here which you trust more, you state legislature or the US congress? I think we have a better chance of being listened to/putting our handprints on things the more local we are.

Good thing you have money, you couldn't survive without it.

Ah the poster child for old failures. Is it Americas fault you stayed drunk for 5 decades and failed at life?

America gave you every chance to be successful, you chose to be a drunk.
