I think thats all by design. When you have spent trillions more on defense than any foe you get clowns like "retired general Keane", telling us the chinese have more boats, more planes, better tech.
No one asks him, "well general you were in charge when we outspent the chinese by 15 trillion over the last 20 years, so is it that you are a bumbling idiot, or the graft is astronomical, dwarfing anything known to man previously?"
We have wasted enough on outdated tech like the f35 and f22, so now........the russians and chinese have a supersonic ballistic missile oh my....now it laughable....we need to catch up with balloon tech!!!!!

An honest press would ask for an inquiry into the military to see why the president was not informed and the entire chain of command should be prosecuted.
Everyone knows Trump would have shot them down, if for no other reason than to brag to the world. So call them out, ask for the congress to get involved and find out who is not following chain of command when the country is invaded.
