a crime deserving 9 years? Hell no.

For the purpose of preserving a backup of the server? Hell no.

Now, if she were bringing someone in to manipulate the server in a way to destroy data, manipulate date to falsely claim fraud, or change the results of the election? Hell yes.

But, to my knowledge, all she did was back up the system because the state was trying to install an update that would have destroyed the election data (an actual crime).

I know there's a meme about it but I actually do not post in every thread. And my stance on criminal Justice reform, universal, criminal justice reform, is well known and often stated

By a third party, correct?

The story says she permitted access of the data to a third party (someone associated with pillow man).

I don’t think people question the conviction. In the age of “criminal justice reform” it’s hard to square 9 years for access badge crimes in the hierarchy judicial punishment. But, I think you already knew that.
Guccifer (Clinton hacker) got 52 months.

Uddin, who laundered $19.6 mil. Via hacking and badge acces got 48 months.

It was wrong when the IRS agent leaked Trump's info and it's wrong here.

That was done with the purpose to harm someone.

An analogy would be someone accessing files they should access in order to preserve them from being destroyed.

Show me where she manipulated the systems for an ill intent. If you can do that, I'll agree that she needs to be in jail.

Giving access to a system to preserve its data shouldn't be a crime. And, if she had to do that because the SOS / IT Dept. wouldn't do it themselves, I'd suggest that her giving someone else access was her responsibility.

I actually agree with you. Sounds like you believe it would be equally dangerous if it were demonstrated in open court just how porous these "security" measures are and how pretty much anyone with knowledge of the default user ID and logins could manipulate the databases before they were ever received by the various election authorities....

These gaslighting, lying motherfrickers know it happened... Or else they wouldn't be so defensive about it.

Third party IT Contractors are used all of the time. It's not uncommon at all.

She backed up the data. That's what I understand. She didn't go sell it for monetary gain (to my knowledge). She didn't manipulate the data to for nefarious purpose.

She brought in an IT expert to take an image of the server.

If you can show I'm wrong, please do. I'll change my opinion.

state charges, can't.

However he should absolutely make flipping the state gov't of CO back to red his pet project. Money, endorsements, prosecutions, put Liz Cheney in a cage with a bullhorn and put the cage in Boulder, etc.

Then get the new red governor to commute her sentence.

She could’ve killed someone and received a shorter sentence.

There is no debate with him because his mind is shut tighter than the Epstein client list. He thinks he can argue his way out of being dead wrong, biased, or naive… or simply post forever and declare himself the winner after everyone else gets bored and bails.

I must admit I do enjoy messing with him.

I do, but I also think a 9 year sentence for what she did is unreasonable and barbaric

He was convicted and got 5 years

The judge also gave him 3 months to report to serve his sentence. Tina Peters was taken straight to jail after her sentencing

He also stole the IRS files of over 50,000-70,000 people, yet the DOJ only charged him with one count. That's why the judge gave him the max sentence and said as much at sentencing. It was the largest data breach in the history of the IRS

He’s a giant idiot fig.

He’s everything wrong with America. I couldn’t have more disdain for him if I practiced at it every day.
