There was if blackmail was involved. And if you look at the facts, they don't really add up unless there was blackmail.
That doesn't mean the FBI or anybody in our government has it, but it doesn't make sense to me to assume that such material never existed at all. If we hadn't gotten lucky and gotten Andrew on video, I might could buy the current MAGA explanation, but we did and I don't.

dunno... all i know is there is plenty of proof of a relationship with Trump and Epstein... we know Epstein was a sexual deviant... we know Trump has always been a big pussy hound himself, so it's not a huge stretch to say that he may know a thing or two.... whether he fricked underage girls or not, i dunno... but if you look at it OBJECTIVELY, it certainly raises some questions

Trump usually does a good job responding to his base when they’re upset or changing policy that was floated.
But he has done terrible here. Either there was nothing there to begin with and he is frustrated that it’s sucking all the oxygen out of the room, or his name really is on the list and he wants this to go away.
Either way, this is being poorly handled and costing Trump a lot of support and political capital. This could end up sinking his presidency by midterms

so if it existed, when did it exist? seems that if it did and Trump wasn't on there, then during his 1st term he would have put that out there, or if Democrats were on there, he would have put it out there... if he was on there, does that mean he destroyed it to cover himself?
if it did exist and we only had it after Biden was in office, and Trump was on it, why didn't they release it then? or are you assuming that it had to be Biden who destroyed it, even if it proved Trump was guilty of being on the list... that doesn't make much sense to me, but i guess we all need a scapegoat...

i doubt this would be the reason for the GOP losing the midterms... midterms are a good bit off, so this will be out of sight out of mind for a lot of people.. they will come to accept they were lied to, they will have processed that, and they will move on...
but if their financial situation is worse, THAT is what will impact the midterms...

However, even if he's a scumbag, his statement in his article today also can be true, and that is that the redacted names are under a court seal. He argues that someone should petition the courts to lift the seal. That actually does make sense. If true, even if all the supposed files were released, we wouldn't get any specific names because of the courts, not the FBI or DOJ.
Now, that having been said, the administration could have petitioned the court some time ago to do that. But it doesn't have to be the administration that does it.

I don’t even believe there is some grand conspiracy here.
My issue is two fold:
1. Multiple individuals within the administration lied multiple times and have not fessed up to that.
2. Trump is handling this insanely stupid. Every additional post he makes seems to exacerbate the problem. That hurts the overall effectiveness of the party going in to midterms.
