It is on video moron. Trump actually said that in 2021 while in Georgia.

They literally don’t care that he said it.

But if any other Republican had said they’d be happy if Democrat had beaten a conservative Governor….that person would be branded as a uniparty globalist GOPe cuck.

I do.

You said you didn't "believe that claim".

You obviously have a hard time with facts.

And you’re a child who heard his parents talking about grown up stuff at the dinner table and are now trying to mimic. It’s cute. Grown up discussion with a child’s imagination.

You don’t. I’m good at multitasking and you’re not especially good at this.

I am not the one being dishonest.

Quit being dishonest and admit Trump said what he said so we can move on.

I mean it is on video. Only an idiot would say he didn't say it(which is what you are doing).

davy has a Platonic form of Trump in his mind. He compares things said about Trump to his form of Trump. If it doesn’t match up to the form, he rejects it. You’re not going to change his mind.

Will someone once and for all shut this liar up?

Will the Magnificent Orange B*st*rd still have a Twitter account when he's in an orange jump suit?

Not by the number of COVID deaths metric in each state. Florida did worse than NY. Maybe comparing some other metrics Florida performed better than NY, but Florida scored more poorly on COVID deaths than NY.

If you gave climate change the same level of thought as this, you'd be Al Gore's protégé rather than Trump's.

This is stupid, Gumbo. On more than one level.

For starters, states determined most of the covid response. The federal government gave advice and spending. That was it. You have to be a brain-dead bubba to think that it's a big "gotcha" to say that Trump is responsible for the deaths more than the governors, and if we took it to per capita (where most retards get confused) DaSanctus has MANY more deaths than Trump.

You’re missing the point. Using number of deaths as some sort of metric is just…stupid. But Trump went there, so any response is now fair game. If it’s fair to say that DeSantis had the third most deaths, then it is also fair to say that Trump had more deaths than any other world leader. You can’t have it both ways. I’m sorry if you enlarged cranial overhang can’t understand that.

But the larger point you seem to be missing is that COVID was an inflection point that truly tested the relationship between government and the people. And in that respect, Ron DeSantis is head and shoulders above most politicians, including Trump.

Haven't you posted on here about being a stats guy?

Yes, and I considered that, but length of time doesn't absolve Meatball. And it's hard to find a death count as of the end of January 2021 for Florida, but if we were to interpolate the data based on national trends, 35% of deaths occurred under Trump in that period, so Meatball's record would still be higher (14/10,000) than Trump's (12/10,000).

But the idea of counting only deaths when someone else was in office seems pretty weak and desperate. No wonder you brought it up.

And now you’ve already changed the metric. Trump isn’t doing deaths per capita. Why did you change Trump’s metric? Was it because Trump’s metric was retarded?

NY and FL have the same population for all practical purposes. They switched population rankings in 21/22. But yes, per capita was brought up awhile back when we had the same debate, and it was from one of you homosexual Ron-fappers.

What I brought up was how inane it is to consider "Covid deaths/hospitalizations" in any way. It's all bullshite.

But if it's going to be done, it's not weak at all to lampoon your comparison of Trump's 9-10 months to RDS's 3+ years.

Yes it is, almost as weak as upvoting your own posts.

Ron was in charge for longer, and to be blunt, the death count in Florida got worse over time. You'll read that as "Well then I guess when Trump was in office, it wasn't bad, so that means Ron did better than 14/10,000 during the same time period!" Which is another illustration of why comparing the same time frame is stupid, and why you'd probably want to do it.

Funny how you guys can insist that calling someone second-worst is "praise", but you can't seem to make Meatball responsible for deaths under his watch, where he had more control, like you do for Trump, who had less control.

Why, it's almost as though you accept or reject logic based on how it affects your previously determined conclusion...

And that's why you're idiots and should not be taken seriously.
