I think it's incredibly childish for Trump to blast this publicly. I don't have a strong opinion about her either way. Imagine the CEO of a company calling out someone publicly instead of discussing their performance concerns in a one-on-one.
Even more so, someone he hired and talked so highly about only 6-8 months ago.
