this is really taking Dems back to the first few days of Trump in 2015. You're not going to out Trump Trump. He's a douche, but he brings off being a douche in a very unique way that appeals to a large percent of the population.
When you try to copy him, or mock him, or use sarcasm to "act like" him, you just come across as a douche without the lovable part.
Biden called people who supported him garbage. And he put on a vest and showed up in a garbage truck. After pulling off a shift at McDonalds to mock Kamala's work experience.
You just aren't going to "match" that. Best not to try

Trump's style of posting is definitely grandiose and exaggerated. I think it's intentional, but asking the other side to refrain from making light of it would be a bridge too far in any political environment.

Trump knows everything there is to possibly know about Newsome. Trump Jr dated Newsome’s ex wife for a few years & she dished out everything to the family. The ex- wife former model/Attorney that Newsome cheated on with his Chief of Staff & close friend’s wife.
Side note- Trump Jr did the right thing by dumping her. She has taken plastic surgery to the next level.

He’s fricking weird.
As ridiculous as Trump is, he gets away with it because he shows, fairly often, that he can relate to normal people and be real.
Gavin is a freak show who is so uncomfortable in his own skin. Playing cool just doesn’t work for him. Being sarcastic doesn’t work for him. You HAVE to take punches and be a little self deprecating and real if you’re cool guy and sarcastic schtick is to land. Gavin is a frickwad.
