As an independent observer, the Bush/Obama/Trump/Biden terms have been very difficult to take. With every term the rhetoric seems to ratchet up on each side. I thought Trump was awful, but I'll be damned if Biden isn't worse.

liz chaney could have wrote that speech.

You're like a broken record just repeating this. Do you have anything of substance to add about Biden's speech last night? What was inspiring about it? What policy items did he hit that sounded good to you?

Shocked that OP got up-voted around these here parts.
It’s what could happen when someone from the right realizes to benefit the super majority we may need to take on things we may not totally agree with. Also realizing speeches like that only fire up the people who were already set to vote one way or another. I don’t mind being called luke warm bc I’m not trying to boil anything I’m just trying for comfort. I do like the discussions though. We’re an interesting country where 2 “everyday” millionaires who may seemingly have ideal lives have totally different views on what makes our country better.

He is running against Trump starting last night. Bottom line.

Unemotional take on the speech:
They are going to Ballot Harvest, let illegals vote, let unregistered voters vote and steal the elections going forward doing it. They know it. So, they have to come out with these types of speeches to make the ones who won't accept these elections the enemy.
It is pretty simple.

I never thought anyone could be hated more than Bill Clinton was by the right.
Then I thought no one could be hated more that Bush by the left.
Then Obama, then Trump. And now Biden. It’s crazy how tribal everyone has become w no end in sight

I guess the good thing is that everyone knows what side he’s on and how far left/devisive he is, where Obama seemed to have a more subtle and polished approach. Obama won the middle and won the presidency without people questioning the vote count.

I was around for Clinton. He wasn't hated anymore than Reagan or any before him by the other side. The guy got caught banging women in the white house who worked for him so maybe you are just remembering that but that is a pretty crazy thing to do.
It ratcheted up with Bush. That was the beginning of the hate and it has spiraled from there.

and once trump is found guilty of crimes against the state like espionage the maga support will evaporate. there will always be the romantic hoping for more of yesteryear. but Maga will be easy to beat in purple states in the general.
the immediate impact will be in the Senate races. the most Maga, Johnson R wisc, is toast.
You thought the same strategy would work with Martin Luther King Jr, how did that turn out.

I didn’t think clinton was hated too badly either. Bush seemed to be where the left and right started making a real to push to demonize each other on a more personal level Vs policies.

What "team?"
Ryan and McConnell sided with the Dems and fought Trump on every issue.
Again, it proves that they would rather lose than win with Trump.
Trump was/is a threat to all of their corrupt practices, so they are working to keep him out of DC.

And yet I haven’t had my power shut off or seen a cop or agent at my home. Maybe his label carries no weight? I won’t fight someone on the streets because they call me a name. I will fight when needed but it takes more than being called an extremist or a MAGA republican.
The longer you wait, the worse it will be, and the more bloody the fight will have to be.

Man I miss hearing someone speak like Reagan did. He was absolutely amazing at delivering mesaages. I have to remind myself how long ago that was and the difference that MSM and SM have made.

It's solely on the left and their media lackeys. That is the side that is always upping the rhetoric.

So you should stop paying taxes since it’s funding your dehumanizing? Or maybe we should take up arms like you suggest they want us to ensure what some think will happen does? Maybe decouple from society completely? Nah I’ll stay in the real world as I see it now and do what I can to take care of my family. To each his own it’s your right
