Some people on twitter saying the driver was black. Haven’t seen any confirmation. Anybody know? That would screw up the narrative

No, you're what's wrong with it. 99% of the country knows it's dangerous to play in traffic. It's why nearly all kids by 4 can understand what happens when a car and human collide.
So remind me again why we should be falling all over ourselves in grief because adults chose to ignore laws of physics even 4 year olds understand? You sincerely don't have to be a mensa champion to reason that pedestrians on an interstate at night is stupid and dangerous.

Well, you're right about one thing. I have no empathy for stupid people when they get hurt doing stupid things. You have to try to find the silver linings into today's dark times. Watching those people fly was hilarious.
As far as what's wrong with this country, it's the idiots trying to destroy the most prosperous country in the world, not the people like me that just want to be able to drive on the interstate without morons standing in the road. This is really sad. I was watching the late night streams earlier this week and it seemed like this was inevitable if they kept up the freeway marching because they had on dark clothes and the interstate is not well lit.
