Why the hell are we negotiating a nuclear deal when the Iranians will eventually break it the next time a Democrat becomes President.
I don't understand this.

I don’t understand it either. Unless we think that the Iranian regime has nukes now and were planning on using them against our forces and bases in the region, Israel, the Arab states, or against the protesters themselves. If that’s the case then it makes a little sense but opens up a whole different bag of questions like where did they get them?

Exactly. This doesn't help the protestors and just keeps the mullahs in power and allows their further terrorist funding activities. You have a chance to change the middle east forever and you are going to frick the Iranian people over for a fricking nuclear deal?
A deal YOU KNOW they won't honor? You have the Islamic Republic on the ropes. fricking finish them and crush them forever. Don't let them stay in power and abandon those people who have sacrificed their fricking lives for a shot at freedom.
You eliminate the Islamic Republic in Iran and you end funding for for the Houthis, Hezzbollah, Hamas, etc. You cripple their efforts in the middle east and gives the region a real shot at a better future.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Jesus, who the heck knows what is going on now. Supposedly no negotiations now.

According to "the experts" on X and Telegram, the US does not have the strength in the region to topple the regime and protect ourselves and our allies at present. This could easily just be a move to buy more time to get more assets into the region. If I had to guess the Pentagon is worried that China has been shipping ballistic missiles including carrier killer ballistic missiles to Iran over the last month. That is why the Lincoln has withdrawn into the Indian Ocean.

If tweet fails to load, click here. If this is true it looks like Iran decided to press its luck and throw in a final condition for negotiations. Looks like they have learned from Putin on how to handle Witkoff and get him to manipulate Trump into doing nothing.

Witkoff doesn’t “fall for” Putin’s lies, he promotes them.
Russia has been getting shaheed drones from Iran. Russia needs the Mulahs to stay in power to supply military tech and hardware. Witkoff is going to be Russia’s man in Tehran.

So, we were supposedly turning our attention to negotiations over Iran's nuclear program, which is supposed to have been destroyed?
Posted on 2/2/26 at 5:02 pm to WeeWee
We have been negotiating a nuclear deal with Iran for 20 years
It only serves to delay the inevitable and keep the regime in power
If Trump doesn’t strike them after all his bluster and encouragement of the protestors then he is a piece of shite

If tweet fails to load, click here. IMO Iran will try to concede now to reduce pressure with the plan to restart their nuke program later
I’m sure the Trump admin understands that as well

Both sides are buying time to prepare for the inevitable. Trump is not going to settle for just a nuclear deal akin to the one he cancelled.
We are going to hit the mullahs, timing and patience my friends.

Exactly. Right now Trump has very little international support for actions in Iran.
He can let his guys make an attempt at diplomacy first to appease Europe, India and the ME.
After talks fail and he drops the hammer, he will say, we tried, they lied, now they died.
