That is because the media has switched from monitoring X to monitoring TikTok for breaking news. The ChiComs are censuring coverage of the situation in Iran so it is not trending on TikTok.

It will be interesting to see if Azerbaijan gets aggressive about taking back lost lands and population from Iran.

I had that same thought last night when I saw tweets saying that Azerbaijanis were joining the protests in the border region last night.

I think you understate that. Iran was a progressive western style society. If you look at pictures from the early 70s you would be hard pressed to say if you were looking at Iran or a city in Europe or the US (except for differences in architecture, etc). Most Americans have no idea what was taken from the people of Iran. Not to say the Shah’s regime was necessarily ideal but it was better than anything that has been seen there since.

If it's a shift away from sharia law, then I'm genuinely rooting for them. Iran used to be a little western like before it descended into Islamic hell.

So weird that I can't find hardly anyone reporting on this, or anything on Reddit either. Seems like an enormous world event to be so underreported.
